Our Vision

“A world where every child feels seen, valued, and empowered—where schools champion inclusivity and celebrate diversity, ensuring that all children, regardless of visible difference, can thrive.”

Our Mission

"The Be Seen Award inspires schools to cultivate an inclusive and enriching learning environment where visible differences are acknowledged, understood, and celebrated. Through engaging activities, resources, and reflection, we educate pupils and teachers about visible difference to encourage them to embrace people with a visible difference and ultimately to empower them to create a school community built on empathy, respect, and belonging."

Recognising Inclusive Schools

The Be Seen Quality Mark is a pioneering school accreditation developed by Caring Matters Now, the UK’s leading charity supporting individuals with Congenital Melanocytic Naevus (CMN).

Raising Awareness of Visible Differences

The Be Seen accreditation celebrates a school’s commitment to promoting awareness of visible differences, building positive representation, and creating a culture of acceptance and respect

It provides a clear framework for schools to assess and enhance their approach to diversity andinclusion, ensuring that pupils with CMN and other visible differences feel supported.
